Unit Rationale
In some senses, writing has started to become a lost art. This is why I chose to construct a thematic unit centered around publishing. I believe it is important for my students to understand the writing process, because in real life situation, they would go through the same process. These students should also have a firm grasp on how to utilize conventions correctly, organize thoughts into writing, and write creatively.
